Terms of Use

These are the terms for using Modboxd (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Who can use Modboxd

You need to be at least 13, or old enough to agree to this yourself in your country if that is higher. You don’t need an account to look around; you need one to log packs, write reviews or make lists.

Your account

• You sign in with a Google account. Keeping that account secure is up to you, and you are responsible for what is done on Modboxd while signed in as you.
• One person per account, and please keep to one account.
• Pick a username that isn’t someone else’s name or brand, and isn’t offensive. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these terms.

What you post

Your logs, ratings, reviews, lists and profile stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to store them and show them publicly on Modboxd, for as long as they are on the site. Removing something, or deleting your account, ends that permission.

You are responsible for what you post. Reviews should be your own honest opinion of a pack you actually played.

Rules

Don’t use Modboxd to:

• harass, threaten or demean people, or post hateful or sexually explicit material;
• post anything illegal, or anything you don’t have the right to share;
• post spam, advertising, or links to malware or scams;
• pretend to be someone else, or to speak for a pack’s authors when you don’t;
• rig ratings, charts or leaderboards, for example with fake accounts or false completion claims;
• break, overload or probe the site, or collect other members’ data in bulk.

Moderation

We may remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or its members at risk. To report something, write to info@modboxd.com.

Disclaimers

• NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT SERVICE. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. The Minecraft name, brand and assets belong to Mojang and Microsoft.
• Modpacks are not ours. Pack names, descriptions, logos and screenshots come from the CurseForge API and belong to the pack authors and their licensors. Modboxd does not host, distribute or modify any modpack or game file; download links lead to CurseForge.
• No affiliation. Modboxd is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CurseForge, Overwolf, Letterboxd, Google, or any pack author. Their names and marks belong to them.
• Members’ words are their own. Ratings, reviews and lists are members’ opinions, not ours. Completion claims and hours are self-reported and not verified.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Modboxd infringes your copyright, write to info@modboxd.com with: what the work is, where it appears on Modboxd, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or act for them. We will look at it and remove what should not be there. Pack authors who want their pack’s page changed or removed can use the same address.

No guarantees

Modboxd is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that information about a pack is correct or current. You use it, and anything you install after finding it here, at your own risk.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Modboxd, including lost data or lost play time. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law says cannot be limited.

Leaving

You can stop using Modboxd at any time, and delete your account and everything on it from Settings. The Privacy Policy explains what that removes.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. We will change the date at the top when we do, and if the change is a significant one we will say so on the site. Carrying on using Modboxd after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Indiana, United States.
